First musical steps:
Bassbottle was born in 1982 in at that time still splitted Berlin. It wasn't long until he discovered how to make Sounds on his Chimes and electric piano. Soon he learned to play the guitar and joined a choir for about six years. It was through these musical activities he trained his singing voice and obtained knowledge about harmonics and song structure.
Often people saw him as a child banging on pots and pans, later drumming on the window-sill at school. He then developed his own kind of beatbox, with which he often annoyed his teachers, who questioned "Whos Walkman is this???". He has always been interested in rhythm, this is why he never passed the oppurtunity to play on a drumkit.
Youth and electronic music:
In his early childhood he discovered electronic music. His main influences at this point in time were on one hand commercial Dancefloor productions and on the other old Hardcore-and Gabber-Tapes from the old Bunker. Fascinated by the rave-hymns of the time, he took the chance in 1996 to make his own debut track on a friends Amiga with a four patterns programm. With that he constructed his song sculputered from a melody he had in mind for years before. From now on he knew his way.
Progression:
With the years, after trying other programms and making excursions into other musical styles, his tracks became better and harder more and more. He also found out what the word "Schranz" means, on which style he from now on conformed to. Even if he now prefers the word Hardtechno for it. But also more tribal Techno tools far away from hard banging noise is the ultimate for him.
Public attention:
In 2004 Bassbottle uploaded a few of his tracks into internet. Quickly he got a still rising fanbase. The mixsets he released one year later had also access. He keeps contact to many artists, labels, still unsigned producers and his followers all the time.
Present:
Meanwhile you’ll find Bassbottle on vinyl and CD. Also he plays live as dj in front of a wild dancing and screaming crowd. He's achieving support by other well known artists like DJ Rush, Fernanda Martins, DJ Lukas, Greg NoTill, ViperXXL, Boris S, Frank Kvitta and many more.
In february 2009 the first release of his label Sonic Speed Records has been published. Furthermore he became a member of ConfuZ - Bookings & Events in summer 2009 and can from now on be booked there. In 2010 Bassbottle surprised his fans with finally opening himself for digital releases. More action to come, so always watch out !!!!!!
